With the weekly update yesterday. The future for destiny was given a brief preview and this is what was said.
The next point on the horizon is an update we’re cooking up for the Fall. I’ve seen it. I’m excited about it. I will say no more… For now.
Hopefully, the ramp up to the April Update served up some proof that we love speaking at length about new Destiny content, once it arrives at its final form. Later on this summer, we’ll show you the scope, scale, and flavor for the next challenge you’ll face.
Fall starts in late September....April update has given the players so little that was worth a damn. And if you think this update was a "great amount of content for a free update". Do you really think its over 5 more months worth of content?? No.
The best part is, as stated in the weekly update. Its 5 months till the next "update" not dlc! Alllllll of that money made from sterling treasure and they are gonna do just another update.....which will probably be VoG with all primary burn guns taken out or burns taken off.
You don't ask for quality so bungie doesn't have to give it to you. And they won't.
And to those who say "well they are making another game thats why sterling money is so important!".
Great point, their community is in this boat with several holes in it so bungie says "screw it lets build another boat so we can charge them to get on that one but in the meantime, patch 1 or 2 holes so all of them dont drown(quit)..."
Demand quality and they will listen. You are the paying customer and the customer is always right.
what i think is gonna happen is late August they will show off Vog coming back in September. Then in late September they will show the vex dlc for the holiday season. Atheons return.
Edit: a lot of people just say "when you're done play another game". Heres the thing, hardly anyone on this forum has ever said this until urk from bungie tweeted of coarse we want people to play other games. Haha they've taught their fans to be parrots! There the same people that say "if you hate the game so much then leave the forums!". Well if you hate criticism so much why don't you leave the forums?
And finally i understand the thought of play other games, i play other games and so do you, obviously... But if you play this game and it has shit quality with not enough to do, if you just leave, do you expect shit to fix itself? No you come here to tell bungie. And for clarification no one is asking for more content right now, we are simply stating that for the future, it needs more quality and quantity to continue.
As i said to one guy in the comments, destiny took 7 years to make and we had no say so in that game and look how it turned out... With destiny 2 to drop in fall 2017, NOW is the time to tell bungie what you want! Because if the game releases with a bad story, broken servers, bad weapon balance, and its over filling with micro transactions, we will literally be at the beginning of a 3 year cycle with destiny 2 that will have just ended with destiny.

Edited by cuzzybubba1: 4/16/2016 5:16:59 AMI finished with the update by Thursday and won't play anything but PVP here and there until September. I don't understand why people act like Destiny is the only game on this planet. Division is great and will fill my void from Destiny and Uncharted is next month, Quantum Break just released and so many others out there.

7 RepliesAre you honestly that upset about this? If so then it's pretty pathetic. If Destiny doesn't keep you busy then go find another damn game to play until more content comes out. Destiny isn't meant to be worshipped & played 24/7. This is -blam!-ing hilarious! I can't believe so many people are this upset about a video game ha! Shut your entitled ass up with the BS drama.

1 ReplyI grinded poe too much the first time so im already over it. Pvp is the only thing keeping me around still which is sad because i didnt even know it had a pvp mode when i first bought it

13 RepliesProfessional Advice: Take breaks. Play other games in between, if you can't afford it - there's plenty of free ones with fresh batches of achievements. Bungie's live development team in Destiny isn't as big as a lot of this community would have you believe, and it doesn't really matter how much money they're making off microtransactions, because most of that goes to Activision to keep the Servers alive - if you actually think micro-transactions directly equals content, you're dead wrong, my friend. More Advice: I don't know how you play, but if you're one of those players that just has to be the maximum Light Level in an update within a couple days, it 's no wonder you're getting burnt out and draughted so fast. Everyone needs to chill, Destiny will always be here. Play some other games, then come back and get some new gear with new perks, try out new playstyles - then take a break again... you don't have to play all day every day for the rest of your life.

Jokers daily reminders of destiny sucks are always a certain.
-
3 RepliesMaybe if u didnt pour hundreds of hours after update, you wouldnt go through a content drought????
-
-
Meh, this is why I just play PVP and only do PvE when I need something.
-
It's jokerman again!!!
-
Plenty to keep busy with and hopefully can hit max light with multiple load outs rather than the same old raid gear
-
3 RepliesHas destiny 2 been postponed?
-
Less pve content means more time to get better at pvp

-
Give it up already dude.
-
Oh my
-
I won't be playing for those 5 months lol. It was terrible n tragic last year and I'm not trying to go thru that again. Once I get burnt out I'll play division. (When they fix it lol)
-
1 ReplyMan during droughts I really wish it was possible to play different games while the devs work on content.. Too bad in order to play a new you need to destroy what you played before
-
People are gonna play it regardless of quality.
-
I'm glad for the drought honestly. I love destiny too much to ignore new content, so in times like we are in now, it gives me a reason to pick up ratchet and clank, finish bloodborne and the witcher, and have some fun with overwatch.
-
1 ReplyI still play Destiny....When the division is down for maintenance
-
2 RepliesI have 2 characters to level. Chroma gear to get perfect rolls on. And more people to shoot in pvp. I'm be fine
-
The drought went away? It's been dry since December. This spritz of content did nothing.
-
They stated previously that fall update is going to be an expansion. If you think this update will last 5 months then you are insane. I think people forget they can play other games in between time periods of no content
-
1 ReplyLike are you dumb dude? Like be honest... Just go play a different title till it ramps up again in September. Like big freaken deal
-
Just play with what you have. If you're not having fun, play something else until the next update comes along. The new Doom is coming out, that will be keeping me entertained
-
1 ReplyI want destiny to be the best game it can be. I'm also sensible enough to realise that things take a while. The Taken King was in development before vanilla released, and was worked on by a far far bigger team than this April update. A solid years work from a bunch of people to create an expansion that you pan the result of almost daily. If you want to 'demand quality' then you need to be prepared to embrace something that NOBODY here is willing to do. That thing is patience.
