This is just my opinion, but for a side arm to be viable, in my opinion, it NEEDS range finder. It makes such a huge difference in crucible to be able to switch and still have a rapid medium-range weapon. They are stable enough, and reload fast enough, that perks related to those stats seem pretty useless to me.
