Pretty standard build that you will get a lot of mileage out of.
I'm just playing with your budget, though. You could save some money and still get similar quality.

I could fit about 6 major releases on it - but it was mostly full of indie games. Doesn't need one, but seeing as I was playing with a budget, I guess so.

Completely fair. My point was, though, that it took me ~3 years to be actively using more than 250. I hate my PC having things I don't use. I uninstall a game when I'm done with it. Disk space is something only OP can judge. Fortunately, it won't make or break his build
