Hi NeckPUNCHattack,
Hi NeckPUNCHattack, The Desolate Class Items are a part of the pool of Guaranteed Items that can be rewarded from the Sterling Treasure. For more information, please see: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/44589 Thank you for your report!
I appreciate the response, but considering the time it took for the packages to be set up to display guaranteed/possible items, I'm pretty sure someone would've taken notice that the class items were in the wrong category. The fact that this has slipped past all programmers/testers up until now (AFTER people buy the treasures) that the class items are in the wrong category is just plain insulting. I understand NOW that class items are meant to be in the guaranteed category, but since they are not and weren't at the time of purchase, it's just down right misleading. With all the misleading issues people have experienced with this game, I'd assume by this far down the road that anyone creating these new "treasures" would accurately label their contents.... especially since these people went out of their way to make the contents of each treasure visible to the world before they're redeemed. I don't expect anything to come of this (because quite honestly, I've been told one thing and shown another one too many times since destiny came out)... but the reason I'm bothering to write this now is to let it be known that this kind of "oops it's mislabeled" thing is just far too common with destiny/bungie now and I'm tired of it (and it's just flat out wrong and intentionally misleading). I'm sorry to say, but that will be the last thing I buy through eververse. If the words "guaranteed" are shown and THAT exact thing doesn't follow through, then how can I trust this type of thing to never happen with any future content again (I'm obviously not alone in my thinking)? Again, I appreciate the response, but the package specifically states a column of guaranteed items and a column of possible ones. That class item was listed on possible, so telling me something different (than what it states in the description) AFTER the fact that I spent my money (because the free one wasn't even in the postmaster) is unacceptable. Thank you for your time.

Sounds like false advertising if what that Bungie employee said is true. I'm sure their butt is covered in the EULA somewhere.

If they actually put their "we're aware of the mislabeled items" message in game or right out in everyone's faces so we knew they intended something different than what it says, then at least they'd get my respect and I'd actually buy more sterling treasures, but since they hope people will spend money THEN tell them there's a mislabeled item, I can't trust it. Regardless of whether they're covering their screw up or not, it's plain for all to see (all who try to buy the treasures) that there's guaranteed items and possible items. They just couldn't be upfront about it in fear that they'll lose sales, but regardless, if they made it known BEFORE people bought them, they'd actually get more sales based on people trusting them. This is the exact reason why so many people trash talk destiny and bungie, and they only have themselves to blame for people pointing out this kind of stuff. I don't expect anything to come of this nor do I have any more high expectations... but I think this kind of continuous "oops, sorry" stuff has done enough to drive away even the most loyal of followers, and it needs to stop.
