I just blitzed through 3oC for a while. 9/10 of the engrams I got were trash, so I sharded them. As a result, I'm currently hoarding 56 shards at the time of writing.

I had 20 something and just waxed through them all. The exotics I keep getting are also high level 320-325 ones so infusing is killing shards as well.

I'm encoumtering that as well. Already burned through 4-5 with my Spindle alone.

Exactly - I have gone through loads lately and the rate of return is slim if not hardly existent.

Personally, I recommend the 3oC route. I mean, what else are you gonna spend all those Strange Coins on? The way I see it, if you get a decent exotic, you can hang onto it. If it's trash, either shard it straight-up or level it up and shard it for 2. You win either way.

I have 60+ on each character and use them every raid, strike or mission that can possibly reward me with a shard! Now the weapons drop at 325+ so they are always infused and rarely upgraded. The two share upgrade method is the only way to get a few back
