A lot of whiny complaints will happen from the PvP side.
"You shouldn't be able to snipe me after Armor Lock!"
"Shoulder Charge launched me off the edge and killed me!"
English
-
1st part: no different from Res sniping 2nd part: Armor Lock Immobilizes you. You won't get sent flying
-
1st Part: Wow, people already complain about that. 2nd Part: Wow, I'm still sure you would.
-
1st part: Nothing new under the sun 2nd part: Shoulder Charge would impact but do nothing. Invincibility = no damage Immobilizing = no Knockback = no physics applied = no flying Guardians
-
You're immune as you're being revived. I've personally been launched by Shoulder Charge during that time.
-
Immunity wears off after animation is finished Armor Lock doesn't exist in this game. There is nothing that has truly immobilized a player in this game
-
I assume the immunity from Armor Lock would as well end after its animation? Is that not the most obvious thing to figure out? SC while res immune = flying SC while armor lock immune = flying
-
*facepalm* clearly I need to spell this out... You will be terminated as you are exiting AL. This happened in Reach, and happens with Reviving and self res in this game. That people will complain about this is to be expected and, rightfully so, ignored Armor Lock firmly plants the Spartan using it into the ground. S/He was immune to all forms of in game physics during that time (save for gravity, but since you couldn't use AL while airborne anyway, this was irrelevant.) A charging Scorpion Tank would be unable to dislodge the Armor Locked Spartan because they were firmly set in place. If this existed in Destiny, the same would also apply to the Guardian using it. A charging Interceptor would simply crash into the Armor Locked Guardian and be thrown around as if it had just hit a rock (assuming it survived the contact) while the Guardian would be unharmed and unmoved. By simple logic of similar actions (Object A [Charging Interceptor/Shoulder Charge] hits Object B [Opposing Player], causing Object B to be thrown) a Shoulder Charge would also be unable to displace an Armor Locked Guardian because the physics of Knockback would be nullified. A Revive/Self Res Animation does NOT make you immune to physics the way Armor Lock does

It's funny that you assume they would just copy and paste it from Halo. It may be inspired by but it would definitely be Bungie-fied.
-
Uhhh, Bungie MADE Armor Lock. Bungie MADE Reach. Without Bungie, there would be no HALO because they CREATED it.
-
Wait, I thought that was introduced in Halo 4?
-
Nope. Armor Lock was included in Reach as well. It took the same ability slot as Sprint, so it was rarely, if ever used
-
Maybe that's why I don't remember. Haven't played Reach in years despite having it on XBOX One again.
-
Shit. That was actually a stupid mistake. I meant Destiny-fie (fied? Fye?) it. I mean, this isn't a thing that's in the game so it may be your way, it may not.

If it stayed true to Armor Lock, it would plant you in place. Nothing would move you. No Shoulder Charge, no Interceptor, nothing
