Xbox One isn't dying at all. It is absolutely dead already. MS finally getting what they deserve for ruining Halo makes me happy. The day MS pulls Xbox out of production will truly be a cause for celebration because Halo will then be sold to the superior company (Sony).

FUN FACT:- Did you know Bungie left Microsoft and teamed up with Sony to create the DS4 o_0 http://news.softpedia.com/news/Bungie-Helped-Sony-with-PS4-DualShock-4-Controller-to-Make-It-Great-for-Shooters-447686.shtml

You honestly think they'd sell Halo to Playstation? I'd say it's far more likely that they either would shift it to PC or at the very least just let it die.

Welcome back

What drugs are you on, good sir?
-
Hahaha, look everyone, an idiot.
-
Lol, what world do you live in?
-
Here on Earth, where Sony are clearly the superior company.
The day MS pulls Xbox out of production will truly be a cause for celebration
It would be a cause for mourning. It's in a gamers' interest that both MS and Sony are successful. Their competition is good for us. If there's only Sony/MS left then they can do what they want.
-
Doesn't matter. A different company would have Halo. That's all that matters.
-
That's not entirely true. If the lone standing company made consumers upset, they would ditch their products and use a PC.
-
Right...just like if there was only one car company, everyone would start riding motorcycles.
-
Apples and oranges. Transportation consists of air travel, public transit, biking, walking, etc. If the only car company made people mad, they would use completely different means, just like if a console creator made consumers mad, they would use whatever other options are more appealing to them (PC, mobile gaming, VR). One dominate console generator isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. They can't completely ignore the public outcry that customers have. It would lead to millions upon millions of their units going to the landfill.
-
It's not apples and oranges. No one is taking a boat, helicopter, or plane to work or the grocery store.

Edited by ChaoticPhenomena: 4/11/2016 8:12:15 AMBecause car manufacturers listen to customers with regards to safety, mpg, car style , etc. Edit: and do you know why car manufacturers listen to customers? Because they want to hang onto their share of the market while attempting to grow. If one console had 100% of the console market, that doesn't mean they own 100% of the gaming world . They wouldn't turn their back on 100's of millions of dollars. That's bad business and bad pr. If PS didn't exist at the beginning of this cycle, those customers would have jumped to PC (the ones who were upset at Xbone unveiling)
-
I always forget about PC.
-
lol if Xbox was to go you are better off going to PC, Nintendo isn't really about competing so PS's only competition is Xbox which with them gone leaves Sony able to rip gamers off even more It's like the joint console idea, although it could be the best thing ever, with no other console to compete against all three super powers would be free to do what ever they want Essentially we would be bent down ready to be screwed
-
I hate PC. Worst platform in the world with the worst fanbase. Even worse than Xbox.
-
Competition would still exist. It would be competition between developers, the same as there is now, hopefully pushing each over to try harder, the same as it (theoretically) is now. But there would be no more exclusives, timed or otherwise. No more console fanboy wars. Just lovely gaming goodness for all.
-
yes between devs but not consoles which was what I was talking about with Xbox gone there would still be exclusives because there would still be Nintendo consoles, PS, PC and other devices, Xbox exclusives may just move to PC
-
I was talking about the joint console idea. If we just had one console that could play all games I believe it would be better for gamers as a whole. Hell, were closer to that idea now than we ever were. Xbox One and PS4 both share the majority of their libraries and, feature wise, there's almost nothing to distinguish them both. The only console which stands out as unique is the WiiU.
