Since they are adding base damage to Suros, they are nerfing the spinning up to even it out completely with focus fire. That way you you won't be subjected to a lower DPS when choosing your perk depending on your playstyle. So Focus Fire in theory should have the exact same DPS as Spinning Up. Just settle down about it.

  • This is only true in pve. In pvp the gun with spinning up will be worse as it will kill in the same number of shots but with a worse perk
it will kill in the same number of shots but with a worse perk
Um it won't kill in the same number of shots...focus fire kills in less but requires spaced out shots. With the changes, Spinning up uses more and kills ever so slightly quicker if not the same time so, like I said before, it will now be as effective with either perks. Whether you like concentrating and pacing your shots or blasting a clip away, it will be the same DPS with either perk. And if focus fire does somehow end up being better, then just use focus fire. It doesn't ruin the gun it just makes one perk more useful, kinda like how spinning up was better than focus fire prior to the change. This is nothing to get bent out of shape about. Personally I like using focus fire anyways. With the changes it is in fact the same dps...so....

  • Spinning up dmg: 26 -> 27 26 x 7 = 182 27 x 7 = 189 Neither of those kill, so no change in shots to kill. Focused fire dmg: 34 -> 35 34 x 5 = 170 35 x 5 = 175 Neither of those kill either, so no change in shots to kill.

    So I assume that what you are getting at is that these tests were done in the same time frame, but you are still showing that spinning up is superior because it does more damage...

  • It does more damage, but the number of shots to kill is the same.

    So spinning up would still be better...because it fires faster...

  • Spinning up kills faster. 27 damage at 450 rpm kills in .93s 35 damage at 300 rpm kills in 1.0s

    This has been gathered after the change right? Yeah so we aren't forced to use Focus Fire at all. Spinning up is actually still a tad better. This is nothing to worry about, they are just making it a bit more viable to choose focus fire by bumping up the damage for both and taking just a bit away from Spinning up. If you look at this in terms of cancellation they really just bumped Focus Fire's dps up closer to Spinning Up in a really convoluted way.

  • I completely agree. I actually enjoy how you can switch the entire playstyle of the gun around. Laying down cover fire along sniper lanes with Focus Fire or Pre fire Spinning Up then turning into a room like Rambo.
