The sandbox team did their best balancing the game. They heard your cries and tried to rectify the problem. And in the end there was nothing they can do within the laws of the game to fix firebolts.
Touching firebolts would make sunsingers a useless class. Sunsingers are suppose to have DoT. Without it the class wouldn't work to its potential. Watch the twitch over again and listen carefully.
Time to face facts for all you nerf babies.

I''m gonna tell you exactly why that's bullshit: "We reduced the amount of time that Thorn's Poison-Effect lingers, and we reduced the poison-damage to the minimum-amount of damage we can do in PVP." What's the reason they couldn't do that with the Burn-Effect from Firebolts and Viking Funeral? They did it with Thorn half-way through Year-2, and Thorn was under-powered COMPARED to Firebolts/Viking Funeral. (Please note the [b][i][u]"COMPARED to"[/u][/i][/b] qualifier, before you come back with 'Saying Thorn was under-powered means you don't know anything about PVP. Hurrdurrhurrdurrhurrdurrdurrrdurr.') They could have done something similar with the Burns and Damage and DoT of Firebolt/Viking Funeral. There is no reason why you should burn for literally 10+ pulses after you get hit. It's over-kill.

Go back and watch the twitch. Then come back and respond to me. What I got from it was that reducing DoT of the sunsinger warlock would result in the subclass being useless. DoT revolves around the sunsinger. Without that players wouldn't play with it. The only good thing they would have is self rez. Nerfs: Radiance was reduced. Flame shield was nerfed. If you don't understand that then, continue being salty. Otherwise deal with it.

Then they should revise the subclass like they did with the Striker subclass. They can change how the sunsinger operates. I mean instead of throwing grenades, maybe they can actually make it into a real super instead throwing grenades. I mean the design of the super for Sunsinger is kinda crappy and thats why the combo of Viking Funeral & Touch of Flame are soooo overused. They need to revise the subclass... Make him shoot firebombs or fireballs or something...

Reducing the DoT would not make it useless. The point was "the numbers from the burn allows you to track your opponents through walls, which is part of what the sun-singer is." They could still achieve that with decreased damage, and burning for 7 - 8 pulses instead of 10+ pulses. I understand fully, it's just a B.S. excuse. "There was nothing we could do." -- They Nerf'd Sunbreakers into the ground without much problem. They could reduce the DoT of Burn without ruining the class. If [b]you[/b] don't understand that, then continue being salty. Otherwise, don't keep replying? (I'm saying that because we both know you'll keep replying.)

The nerf they did to radiance was useless they reduced the time but made it so you get more grenades while in radiance. They changed nothing about sunsinger besides flame shield.
