Split screen halves (if two players are playing) the resolution and fps. So they either keep the 60 fps and 1080 resolution and take away Split screen, people complain, or add split screen which takes away those graphics and people still complain. 343 were also in the right to take away split screen. Many people now tend to play online. So they wanted to take full advantage of that.

Why not lower the frame rate or resolution when playing split screen and keep it 1080p 60 when playing solo?
