Just want to clear up tht scavenging does not affect drop rates. It only affects the quality of the drops you receive. The Devs stated this in one of their live streams.
For the rest of your questions everyone else here answered those correctly.

Scavenging clearly says the amount and quality of drops. Link to the devs saying otherwise.

It was on a live stream. Go look for yourself. It does not affect the drop rates and no where does it say it affects the drop rates. It only gives you a chance to roll better attributes on the gear tht drops. Accept this fact or don't. Makes no difference to me.

Doesn't say that? Let me type exactly what it says. Scavenging- "increases the chance of finding more and better items".

Well they lied in the description. And whered you even find tht? I've nvr seen the description, definitely doesn't say it on each piece of gear. I'm guessing under the character tab, but either way it's wrong according to the developers.

Yeah under character you can see that it says that. I'm sure it does more than what you think. My friend with 200 scavenging find frequent double exotic drops.

Idk why but it wont allow me to copy the link, probably cause I'm on my phone. Its on Twitch though, past broadcasts. Its a 13 hr video haha (I didn't watch the whole thing), named special report blah blah blah (it was rebroadcast on Wednesday)... At the 52min mark he explains it doesn't increase drop rates, only item quality. So after thinking about it and watching again it could in theory affect whether or not the drop is high end. Seeing as high end or superior is technically part of the quality of the gear. But on the other hand if tht was the case it would be technically increasing the drop rates of high end gear, which they clearly stated it didn't do.

Ahh cool, hadn't noticed the description. Only ever read the percentage lol. Yeah I thought so too but the devs said its a fixed drop rate, and tht some will be more lucky then others. It explains the theory on reddit tht ppl thought it was broken past 100% scavenging. I usually nvr run scavenging unless I'm farming DZ tech and I've gotten a few double high end drops (some with high scavenging and some with low or none). I'm off work now so ill see if I can link tht stream to you.
