Tell me, I want to know.
List every little thing you can hear, even that dull background sound that you can't quite tell whether it's the wind or the sound of 'civilisation'.

Edited by Yakson5: 4/6/2016 3:52:49 AMCar driving down my street. I'm sitting at my desk which is next to my open window. I hear a soft breeze as well as the faint sound of crickets in the distance. They're chirping in unison. I hear my brother walking down the hallway, going into the bathroom to brush his teeth. He lets the cupboard door slam as he puts away the tooth paste. Now he closes his bedroom door to go to bed, letting that slam as well. He never was quiet. I hear what sounds like someone stacking up wood in their backyard. This makes no sense for this time of night. I hear my neighbor's dog barking. It's a small dog, so his bark is higher pitched. His barking causes my dog to bark in response. She's much bigger, and responds with a deeper call. My mother tells her to be quiet. I hear the slight him of my ceiling fan, as it cools my room, creating the perfect temperature for homework to be done. Finally, I hear an ambient noise. The smallest of all noises. Something that is always their, but in the background

Edited by bastage: 4/8/2016 3:00:39 AMMy breath, crickets, the sounds of dogs barking outside, my blanket when I move a bit, and the occasional car outside. The ringing in my ears and the "tap" sound my fingernails make when I hit them against my phone's screen on accident.
