Haha yea i love that argument. This gun has been a problem since it was introduced. Should have stayed in yr one with the other op guns.
Edit- omg i was camping so hard with my 1k crutch. Whoever hates 1k is going to be sorry when ldr and longbow come back. I was there for a few seconds and the game was over so i stopped playing.
Edit- so many salty scubs coming to defend their crutch. You guys should try using a gun you actually have to aim with lol.
Edit- AYE lmao looks like tlw is getting that nerf. No more 2 shots, no more mowing people down w body shots

He nailed you with a sniper first and you had barely any energy left so he finished you with TLW. Range had nada to do with it. He out played you. And any dev that sees this will tell you exactly that.

1 ReplyYour health was so low that the damage drop off didnt matter. Its that simple. Range doesnt mean they cant hit you with a good shot. Range means there is damage drop off beyond that point.

1 ReplyTLW doesn't need range. It almost doesn't need stability. It has out-of-class Impact AND RoF. Impact increasing perks need to be removed and Fan Fire needs to only work when hip-fired.

5 RepliesTlw has counters just like any other weapon in this game. I find it funny people wanted tlw buffed because of the jolly holiday quest so Bungie buffed it. Now I see posts every day saying tlw is op and asking for nerfs. I do not think anything needs to be nerfed. Their are ways to counter and people need to realize that one strat will not work to counter every gun, you need to change your strat for every engagement.

1 ReplyYou do realize the last word has "[b]bonus damage[/b]" when hipfiring... right? That counters some of the damage loss for fall off. However that is "[b]only[/b]" when hipfiring. The range stat of TLW simply shows that it's range until fall off starts is idiotically short. Essentially just barely within fusion rifle distance, which isn't much lol. Yes, you could kill outside of it's intended range, but it is incredibly hard. I am somewhat decent with The Last Word (I had to be, to get the shindig quest done legit) to the point that i can get fairly decent long ranged kills with TLW. However, kills outside of fusion rifle distance are so damn rare that a DoP will almost always obliterate TLW in most cases. I'd say about 8/10 times is an accurate estimate if both parties are equally skilled. In that video he coulda used any gun with Single Point Sling and killed you. You simply got outplayed and you died because of it. Damn the salt is real. I call upon [u][b]Supreme Butthurt[/b][/u] for this one.

TLW does need a range adjustment but bullets don't just disappear with distance they should loose power/damage potential. In this instance, you're nearly dead and a violent sneeze would have killed you. It would have been a scratch if you were at full health.
