To Those Who Blindly Defend Sniping
Please, explain this shot.
- clearly not a headshot given that I hit his chest and no yellow numbers popped up, but points are awarded and Firefly triggers
- kills a Titan in Fist of Havoc from full health with 386 damage (seen at the very instant of shooting at 0.5x speed) then does 63 damage to nothing, which totals more damage than a Sniper Rifle of DoY's archetype is capable of, within reasonable bounds for light-level advantages
- accurate to 8 seconds before the shot, both myself and the "victim" have green-bar connections
- about as CQC as you can get with a Sniper Rifle
I'd love to see you defend [i]this.[/i]
In case anyone is wondering, Defiance of Yasmin has [b]less[/b] Aim Assist than 1000-Yard Stare with ShortGaze SLH10.

I have to admit that im bad at sniping, but on this game im good? I clearly see how i make a miss shot but for some reason it hits a critical spot or even a headshot when is obviously not. Also, 7 out of 10 of my deads were made through walls, taking cover behind a wall or any other place is futile.

The extra damage could be result of melting point or something, and green bars don't mean shit anymore

It would make the snapshot perk be useful for once for -blam!-'s sake. I'm actually pretty -blam!-ing sick of snipers being used as cqc weapons. I get that this game isn't real and all that shit, but if there's a gun that can do tank levels of damage, the least bungie can do is balance it.

I have a Weyloran's March (highest aim assist sniper) with the highest aim assist sight and Hidden Hand. It's like a shotgun. Point in the general direction of the head and they're dead.

Sniping sometimes gives some amazingly impossible shots as headshots, and other times I hit a clear headshot or bodyshot and deal no damage.
