Be honest. Soulsborne games endings..

The ending cinematics on Dark Souls series and Bloodborne are so short, and vague... Don't you think they're disappointing? I know the series is poetic, but I'm talking about playing a hellof a great game and watching less than 2 minutes cutscenes after a long journey.

You know what's happening. You leave it unlit and cast the world to darkness until the next hero comes and either does the same or casts the world to light (fire) and the cycle repeats. Its a way to make it make sense. Literally everyone that has played the game contributed to the storyline but the boss doesn't change.

    • It's about the journey. Not the destination.

      • A little confusing but they make it so you can interpret the ending your own way.

      • I was only disappointed in Bloodbornes ending because the "good" ending is nothing more than
You turning into a squid. *Yes I get you ascended to god status*
It was just so stupid to me.
The ending where the moon presence seems to suck out your intestines makes me cringe every single time I think of it.
• Most people on the thread have said what the endings to these games are all about. It's left vague and open ended for you the gamer to insert your own conclusions to the story. Everyone's can be different based on your personal journey through the game. This comes from the choices you made and the lore you discovered. Souls borne games don't really focus on the end goal hence why you're always given such a vague objective to complete. FromSoftware want you to focus more on the world you're in to explore because that's where you will find the most interesting things.

            • Ambiguous stories have ambiguous endings. Nothing wrong with that.

            • I must be an odd duck. I go through the game FOR the journey. Not the little clip at the end.

              • That's an understandable criticisms. Though the reason for the vague endings is that they're meant to be open to interpretation and speculation.
