who needs to fat roll when you can spam endurance ^_^
replaying DeS, first and only stat points where ~30ish into endurance, ending up with 43 end carrying full fluted armour, long sword+kite shield, and a short bow without having to fat roll. Then I started pumping 2 str per 1 vit and am almost at the end of the game SL 80 something with my levelled stats being 24 vit 42 str 43 end with no real grinding done (I did some minor materials grinding to finish upgrading my crushing long sword to +4, forgot online -blam!-s world tendency so no pure greystone from scirvir and ceebs grinding for it, and minor souls grinding if I was just short of a level, mostly from the reaper in 4-2).
OK it's far from optimal for PvP, and has a slow ramp up due to only gaining value when you have enough more end that you can put on another armour pierce without fat rolling, but it worked for me.
The animation is what throws people off. Not the I frames. And shields are actually pretty shit because dead angling. If that glitch didnt exist then yeah shields would be OP.
Fat rolling like a turd doesn't make the game any easier.
Unless you're using heavy armor with Havel's and Ring of Favor and Protection, I don't see how it "trivialises" the game.
