Dark Souls. No contest here. Expect to struggle early on, but with enough practice and patience, finish the game and be rewarded with extreme satisfaction. I'd highly recommend asking for tips and strategies online once you start, so that the complex game doesn't seem so daunting.

I think most hardcore gamers would agree that Dark Souls is a far superior game.

I'm not necessarily looking for "hardcore". I'm not looking for the hardest game to play necessarily. I know Dark Souls is harder. It being harder doesn't necessarily mean I'll like it more or less though.

I'm not just talking about difficulty. Dark Souls has a lot more to it and is better.

It's not really that complicated, I understood it completely when I was 12 and I'm waiting for DS3's release right now.

It seems really complicated but it just has a lot of depth and once you get into the game, it becomes more and more understandable as you play and get tips from fellow players.
