Saying challenge missions are nearly impossible, means you never had an endgame build. I imagine a lot of people were like you, hit 30 thought it was over until raids. All my equipment is level 31, challenge mode is handy. I haven't stopped playing the division since launch, my characters build continues to grow stronger. A lot of people don't understand the deep RPG mechanics. In a game like destiny you hit the level cap, there is no build variety. Everyone has a similar character. I prefer the Division, always experimenting with different builds. The drop rates are a lot better too, you see gold drops regularly.

  • I've only had three holds ever drop even though I do challenge modes daily, my scavenging is 112%, and I've dz farmed. The high end drop rate is terrible.

  • Ya but they need more mechanics. Right now it's just shotgunners and grenades.

Then you aren't paying close enough attention. The rioters fight as a disorganized rabble....and they aren't particularly aggressive. The fight pretty much as you'd expect a bunch of street thugs and average-citizens-gone-bad to fight. The Cleaners take it up a notch. They'll bull rush you with axes or flame throwers. The Rikers (the bastards) are the first enemy me that fights you with team tactics. Not only will they rush you with shotgunners...if you don't pay attention, they'll also work towards flanking you. I hate doing encounters and side missions in Rikers controlled areas, because what often starts out as a fight against a single group turns into a 360* firefight as other Riker groups are drawn towards the gunfire, and begin directing fire at your flanks and your rear. The LMB, are professional soldiers. The have access to many of the same gadegests that we have, and they are all about fire and maneuver. They'll initially try to overwhelm you with scouts that rush you with shotguns...and then if that doesn't work, they'll start pressuring you with fireteam tactics as they advance on you as a group and also look to work your flanks. I actually like fighting LMB more than the Rikers, because they are actually more predictable than the Rikers. So you can use that against them. The General Assembly mission was probably a glimpse of things to come. We got a chance to fight a vehicle that---in reality----didn't pose much of a threat...and didn't really work that well in coordination with its own forces on the ground. That's where you're next level of "mechanics" and difficulty" wil probably come. We'll probably face LMB remnants that do a much better job of fighting in coordination with various types of vehicles....that represent a MUCH more lethal threat. Plus there is the possibility of taking on Keemer and what are left of his rogue Division agents. Who not only have the same gear as we do...but the ability to use our own gear against us ("Hacked!") There are no "stand here, shoot that spot" mechanics in The Division...which is a good thing in my book. I never liked that aspect of play in Destiny. I simply tolerated it.

  • The division is the kinda game where one minute I can be a healer. With just a change of gear and some skills, I can suddenly be the glass cannon.
