I think this post falls in line with all the other players who think that because their class was adjusted that every other subclass needs to be changed.
Having played only as a lock I can't speak for hunter or titan subclasses, only warlock ones.
Voidwalker - I think this needs a small neutral game buff of some sort. I'm not sure what to do with it though.
Sunsinger - I actually think sunsinger is fine, but I can understand the complaints especially in 3v3 modes. Maybe require the scorch melee to kill the victim to trigger the shield. (Though I'd definitely miss the shield in both pvp and pve.) I think firebolts are actually mostly fine. Maybe scale the DOT back in 3v3. It only seems OP in 3v3 modes because it has an outsized effect on small team dynamics.
Stormcaller - the neutral game is weak and needs a lot of work and the super lasts too long in pvp with transcendence. The grenades need to be better. Landfall is fine, it's nowhere near the size or potency of fist nor does storm trance recharge as fast as fist.

Edited by Dofyx18: 3/27/2016 8:44:43 PMThe landfall radius is absolutely stupid, out of all the time ive played on destiny, this is by far the biggest problem in terms of a perk. you dont even have to be close or directly under as some people pass it off to be. you can be in the general vicinity of the stormcaller when he uses it, and whether you're up, down, left, right or in another -blam!-ing dimension, that landfall will kill you, and you can see it prominently in mayhem clash

the fact that you think Stormcaller and FOH regenerate at different times nullified all the information in your post. Anyone who doesn't understand ist/dis/str should not be allowed to talk about subclass balancing.
-
I understand how the ability stats work and influence recharges rates. I recalled hearing that fist had a shorter timer than other supers or that it was perk dependent. Of course, not having a Titan leveled I don't have first hand knowledge.
-
If you don't even have a Titan, why do you think you have the ability to talk about subclass balancing? You don't even play all of the classes.
-
I only commented on changes to classes I have. I have both played as and against warlocks.
-
Good post. I like how it was actually constructive and you get why so many people hate the firebolt right now(despite being mainly a lock player) I can respect that the other parts of lock are weaker. They definitely are.

Thanks. I'm not a proponent of a frequent nerf bat. The biggest weakness warlocks have is honestly their mobility, meaning jumps and dodges. That has a much larger impact on my game play than anything else.

I play on all classes alot and I can say that with the perk that charges your super faster when teammates are near makes the super charge in about 2 and a half min with no kills.
-
Huh. I've never really used that one. I tend to play solo. That suggests that stormcaller needs to have a more neutral game and less reliance on their super.

Storm nades are pretty good and the melee is incredible. And with the buff that's probably coming to arc bolt gernades it'll make the class a hell of alot stronger
