Does nightfall completely block out people without the required light level ?
If not then then you know people will abuse this
Get 5 guild friends to carry their lowbie character through for that guaranteed epic drop. Rinse and repeat each weak and you turn a fresh level 40 to max light in a month of little work

Nightfall is 3 people and what is stopping that from happening in the raid challenge mode? If you got carried in the challenge mode you would be 315 within a month. It hasn't really been a problem though as far as I know.

Last I heard, Raid Challenge mode wasn't guaranteed. Lots of people on the forums whining about "getting nothing" from the hard TTK Raid. Whether they're exaggerating or serious, I can't say.
-
Challenge mode rotates each week between warpriest, golgoroth, and oryx. On completion of the hard mode challenge you are guaranteed a 320 and 310 item from that part of the raid as well as a 320 and 310 class artifact. Doing the raid on hard mode without doing the challenges doesn't guarantee a drop. I'm guessing you have never done the raid.

Nope. Played the old ones a bunch between my 2 consoles but haven't touched TTK Raid yet. Honestly, been holding off. Only been playing a little and only in the mid-290's. Was hoping to get a little bit higher and have more free time on my hands.

I feel it. I really only do the challenge mode part of the raid every week now. I just find someone with a check point. 290-300 is kind of a rough hump to get over. There is also a normal raid challenge mode that gives you a 310 item and artifact. That might be your best bet besides nightfall/iron banner to get over 300

Seems like the majority are doing this. It's making it difficult to find people that are easily able to quickly sync up as a team to get totems and sisters done.

This is true. I'm 318 and still have a 306 class item cuz I never take the time to do sisters
