Why do you need etheric light when there's infusion?
Infusion is a good system, it was just implemented wrong and made it too much of a grind...

I like infusion. I thought it was one of the best ideas they had for the game. But I think they'll want to make PoE relevant again, which is why I think they'll use etheric light to get stuff to max level. I'm sure you'll still be able to infuse though. Etheric light may just be quicker.

Now do the math on a 180 light level increase. You thought it was a pain in the ass to increase it 40, just wait.

I already did the class exotics from 170 all to over 310.... Not bad.... First jump is huge. Up to 300 or close to it can be done with rares. I'd get my fatebringer to 350 1 at a time if I had to lol.

It's going to take a minimum of 3 of the new highest Ll gear to make it all the way to the new max. Since they will never drop that easily it will be way more than that. Now if it was a 1:1 infusion then i might be interested.

Save your max light for final infusion.... Use all the junk you delete up to that point. I'm just saying I would do it for certain guns.... FB, VOC, void messenger adept.... To have a primary of each element as I did in Y1. I do agree infusion should be 1:1.... If you infuse a 320 into something it should be 320. Or make it 90% with anything within 10 is 1:1. As well you should be able to infuse any 320 weapon into any weapon... The infusion is too restricted. If I could put my 320 chest pieces I got sitting in vault into a class armour id be happy.
