Optional MM would be great, HOWEVER, it simply IS NOT POSSIBLE!! MM is BINARY so it's set in stone very early in development so to my knowledge it can't be done.
I must stress this is not intended as a slap in the face, it's more of a don't get your hopes up......

I may not be understanding what you're saying but I do remember a time where the daily (or weekly I can't remember) heroic strike was not mm but with an update it be mm only. This is going back to year 1 and I'm not sure if it's different than optional mm, but you would think if they could do that why couldn't they change it for all playlists?

That's right! I remember, It was the Weekly! (Back when there was a weekly) It started off with no matchmaking, then they changed, it but kept the nightfall as is. So they DO have the ability to select what gets match made, but OPTIONAL matchmaking may be a different story.

Yeah I kinda remember that, back in the good old days... But yeah MM can be added and taken away from a game mode in a small update at any time but optional MM requires another set of algorithms which would have to have been included in development.

Definitely. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of optional MM but in its current format it isn't possible, that's all I was stressing. I just don't want people getting their hopes up over something that can't happen.

Ya I've thought this for awhile actually. As soon as the news came out that there is destiny two i knew this game would be a right off for bungle. And even if they did say its coming i wouldn't hold my breath. I hope something could happen (or anything at this point) but this game disappointed me before i know it'll do it again
