While Halo 4's multiplayer is a total "rip off" of Call of Duty & is nothing like Halo multiplayer
What the heck are you talking about? The multiplayer is still FAR slower-paced than any CoD has ever been.

It's the COD formula with a Halo coating. - I have explained it in depth with MongrelShadow14 - in the "reply section" on this Thread.

Edited by What I Look Like: 3/16/2016 4:08:57 PMIt literally isn't. Movement speed, yes. ADS is still Halo. Aiming patterns, weapon performance, Halo. Weapon spawns, maps.. Halo. Just.. you can sprint. Isn't even really different than Reach, besides the ordinance for killstreaks. And CoD online gameplay is hardly the first game to afford extra benefits for killstreaks. Seriously? And loadouts? Naw.
-
I have already made my point with MongrelShadow14 - look for his comment to my Thread to get my "Argument", I'm not gonna waste my time responding to straglers, who are using the same argument I have responded to.
-
LOL okay dude, that's cute though. Say what you will, but none of your points really show how the core gameplay is affected. Only thing you see is "loadout this" and "killstreaks that". What really is the kicker here is that everyone acts as if CoD is the only MP game to incorporate the features it did. Maybe if you all didn't spend entire summers playing MW2 you wouldn't let your opinions rely so heavily on very stupid points.
-
Since you're reluctant, I'l waste my time pointing out the basics. Kill Streaks, kill cams, Perks, Custom Classes, Points system, Bullet Magnetism, Sprint, Faster TTK, Open matches (join/leaving matchmade games), hit markers, grenade indicators, lack of Power weapons on the Map, . Etc.
-
Hey, I was playing Fallout last night and some Super Mutant tossed like 5 grenades at me. The grenade indicator sure was a big help.. but maybe I'll stop playing Fallout bc it's like CoD now!
-
Edited by Tsukuyomi Zero: 3/16/2016 4:44:20 PMCould you not use some basic awareness & see the grenade being thrown ?
-
Not in every situation! Is it that hard to believe that you can take multiple shots to the head and stand on top of an exploding truck, without dying, but the pip-boy wouldn't come with a built in grenade indicator? It's a dang flashlight, and a radio, and a comms device, and all that. No grenade indicator? And HALO? I imagine if their suits can survive space, and augment a human to levels previously impossible by the human body alone.. well.. someone should've been smart enough to build in a grenade indicator from the start. I mean, you can shit/piss in the suit, but it can't warn you about a possible explosive device in your vicinity? Blasphemy..
-
Whether there is a Lore reason or not, it's irrelevant. You're a goddamn Spartan ! Man up! You don't need some fancy smahncy devices to win, use your own abilities. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-M0YLUcM28
-
The suit is the fanciest device, tho!
i want one :(
-
Look, Johnson is my main man and all but.. the petty gameplay that real soldiers would never do deters me from taking that speech to heart, especially if I've just been no scoped on team snipers lol..
-
And if you're really mad at the grenade indicator, maybe you shouldn't be playing games lmao. So petty.
-
You want many links to other games that share the same things as both? Certain mechanics tend to become the norm, especially if you are comparing two games that are on the same platform (fps). You making a list and checking it twice ain't proving shit, Kringle. TTK was barely touched, btw. That's just stuffing to line your argument with if we're being honest..
-
There is a difference between taking some stuff from other games & copying it's formula. The TTK was much faster in Halo 4.
-
Noooot at all. Stuffing, to line your argument. It was touched, I am not saying they didn't alter it. What I am saying is that you can't wipe an entire small room of camping enemies with rapid hipfire. The TTK is different, but it definitely is still Halo. Nowhere near as fast as CoD TTK.
-
probably referring to loadouts, perks, and killstreaks (ordinance). Not the gameplay itself.
-
the basics. Kill Streaks, kill cams, Perks, Custom Classes, Points system, Bullet Magnetism, Sprint, Faster TTK, Open matches (join/leaving matchmade games), hit markers, grenade indicators, lack of Power weapons on the Map, . Etc. Reply

How is that not "gameplay" ? learn your definitions mate.

Edited by SeneschalGrigori: 3/16/2016 4:30:32 PMI was more thinking about the much faster gameplay of CoD that Halo still didn't have even with the changes when I said that. *I also didn't remember half the stuff you even listed as it's been forever*
-
probably referring to loadouts, perks, and killstreaks (ordinance). Not the gameplay itself.
So that would be Halo with a slight sprinkle of CoD.. not the other way around lol
-
Edited by SeneschalGrigori: 3/16/2016 4:13:34 PMI'm just saying that they were slowly moving towards CoD. When I want to play CoD I'll play CoD. I don't want Halo in my CoD and I don't want CoD in my Halo. :)
-
You say moving towards, I say adopting a few features that really didn't affect the gameplay itself.
-
Edited by SeneschalGrigori: 3/16/2016 4:15:31 PMI'm probably just bitter because that was back when games all tried to come out and copy CoD, and one of my favorite series (SOCOM) was absolutely ruined when they came out with their game that was damn near CoD in 3rd person and no longer SOCOM. . I didn't want to see Halo do the same.
-
The gravity hammer still crunches skulls, the needler still causes purple explosions, their is still zero requirement to ever ADS(even snipers lol).
