I don't think you understand how much of my childhood bionicles were. I don't think I ever actually asked my parent for a generic lego set until after it cancelled. I went straight from my older cousin's lego trains and the martian series my dad bought for him and I to play with to the metry nui line and however many sets there were after that. It wasn't until the final 2 seasons with the glatorians and the rebuilt body of mata nui that halo wars and mega blox did their thing and I started getting generic brick toys.
