Wanna know what is indicative of fascism, though? Running a campaign based on extreme nationalism. Bemoaning that the nation used to be glorious, but because of X group or Y people, that's no longer the case. Cultivating anger and outrage among the masses. Stating you're the only person strong enough to change all that and promising to make the country great again!
That's more of a textbook example of fascism.
