Yes that is the most effective in ability damage and survivability. Personally I enjoy using Apothosis Veil (Heath and ability charges back on Super activation? Yes please!), Song of Flames, Radiant Will, Angel of Light. Song of Flames buff lasts for 10 seconds after getting it applied. Radiant Will increases your duration so you can apply it twice in one activation. I've found during Clash matches my teamates will begin to stick near me after they realize I have Song of Flames. Grenades everywhere. Angel of Light is utility for me and an interesting way to fight. So to summerize. Just because it's not your style, doesn't mean it's wrong.
