the pvp looks good, but the campaign looks ridiculous. over the top gore only tells me it's compensating for lack of decent gameplay

The Demon power-ups look like one of the best parts of PvP. Who doesn't want to be a Baron of Hell?

Me. I enjoy killing the hellspawn and sending them back to their miserable little hole...not playing AS them.

Doom never had the executions, that's a new feature. Some of the execution moves do look a tad excessive...but you're using them on demons and hellspawn so it's perfectly warranted. They deserve much worse in fact.
