Considering how easy it is to get weapon Smith to level up ace of spades is actually pretty good considering the effort need to get it.

then by your standards the black spindle should drop at 320 ALL DAY LONG!... i would also agree on that one...

It's an exotic. The difficulty of obtaining the weapon should not be considered. RNG exotics can come from low level ultras, that doesn't mean they shouldn't be worthy of taking your exotic slot. With that, I actually think ace of spades is in a good place. Works well within it's intended role.

It is a quest weapon not an rng weapon. That is what I was getting at with the the effort to get thing. Considering it is a quest exotic, comparing it to the other quest exotics is fair which is where the effort vs reward comes in to play for it. I do agree that it is in a good place. If it were to get buffed i would change the exotic perk to have the precision stuff returned to the clip in stead of taking from the magazine. Since that would boost its mob killing ability with out really buffing the damage out put to make it over powered for boss fights.

Not against your suggestion. But with that, you still have to be careful in designing exotics. If it is too easy to find a legendary weapon that can replace it, it isn't worth wasting an exotic slot for. There are already enough weapons like that. Regardless, I would argue that using three of coins and killing ultras is easier than any questline (or waiting for xur to sell it, that's even easier.)
