When TDB drops, Eris has her own bounties, which is quite tough when it started. Kill 10 Hive Major / Ultras in a nightfall? Double kills with fusions?
Also, Murmur, that fusions that could switch elemental damage is really worthy of a Exotic status.

Murmur was my absolute favorite. I loved being able to switch between elements, and the design of the gun was really cool and intricate. My favorite part though was the firing animation. Visibly seeing the energy flow down the channels and the really cool sound that it made...I wasted so much time screwing around with that thing hahaha.

It really is worth being an exotic... it should be. That was just too useful back then.
