Needs it's ripping arc damage. Used to shred on Prison of Elders.

It needs to come back at year two values without the drama of playing two - three hours for double RNG drops. I miss the arc and ability to rip hive over shields to shreds. Now you mention it - I miss my scholar adept with arc also. Sad faces. :((((

Yeah it's almost identical and NOT worth the grind. The perks are so bad and the chances of getting the roll you want is one in a thousand. I would love to just upgrade my old over soul. It has great perks and it shoots through hive walls. I broke it down recently and sad I don't have it. Bungie messed up by taking away our year one hard ground out weapons.

Thats your opinion, and the rolls are not bad at all unless you call getting consistent kills a bad thing.

Opinion? There are thousands of people who haven't even gotten it and the ones that do rarely get great perks. That's not even opinion. That's the cool hard facts of RNG and double grinding for good perks.

Oversoul never drops either for me, I get the same four of nine weapons, over and over and over. Never could get Black Hammer either, but got a couple Spindles (never experienced the real hammer). :(

Oversoul Edict wrecks in PvP. They're the same gun. Only difference is one can have a different roll. Base stats are the same though. For guys that grind to use it in PVP, I don't see the point. Same for the PvP guys wanting Year 2 Thorn and Icebreaker

Wrong. Base stats is about as far as it goes in comparison. How about the fact that you can get the gif roll: braced Frame, glass half full, and head seeker. Or any variant of the above. Let's not forget third eye. So explain to me how they are the same again. Anyone who says they are the same is just trying to justify their unwillingness to grind for it. So that they can feel better about why they won't put effort into getting it. Nuf said.

Did you read anything I said? I said Grasp is better with the right roll. I also assumed they were the same since they reuse the same model the way base stats are the same for the other Year 2 guns. Imago Loop=Fatebringer Treads Upon Stars=Vision. I just checked, and the impact and range are the same on both. Oversoul has more stability. So if you have a bad roll, Oversoul is better. I never used Oversoul a lot period so no, I'm not justifying BLAM! I'm just going by facts. I couldnt care less what you grinded for. If my gun does the same impact and ROF, and has better base stability, it's better. Your gun is better with the right perks.

I love the over soul. Lucky fur me I only grinded for 1 1/2 and pulled 6 of them.

Don't get me wrong, I want the grasp too because it beats Oversoul with the right roll. I saw a guy roll rangefinder, glass half full, and perfect balance. That -blam!-s Oversoul. Grasp should've had solar burn though :(

Imago Loop should be Void, Grasp of Malok should be Solar and Treads Upon Stars should be Arc. I don't see why BNG has such a hissyfit when players like good guns.

Agreed!! The year one stuff was lush. The raid gear was worthy of the grind and unique.
