After a day of many multiple attempts at the Black Spindle; I have a new found respect for for those who have it. We (multiple groups of "we") could easily get to the Taniks wannabe with 6 min remaining but then it's blight/adds management hell. We managed to get the big guy down once with 1:30 remaining but there were so many adds.
so.
many.
adds.
So hats off to you Black Spindle holders. Hope it's worth the PTSD
EDIT: Big shoutout to @Sniping piikey, and an LFG random @UNR34LG4MER. Thanks to them, I managed to finally get the Black Spindle. I was starting to think I was the problem.

Me and my normal fire team tried the second time it came around and failed, we picked up our mistakes levelled IP a little and tried again, we tried several different techniques but failed until I decides blights and adds to go first and bam done
-
Solution. Blood bound tether x2 Stormcaller x1 Bye bye ads. Hello orbs. Snipers and rockets for everyone. Bye bye ads. Hello orbs (if tethered) Switch to Raze Lighter and tether boss. Ded.
-
Kill adds first.then hit boss with exotic sword.repeat.
-
I remember doing it under leveled when it was first discovered with no raid gear yet cuz raid wasn't up yet...took my team 5 hours to do...
-
4 RepliesI remember doing it the first day what a nightmare!
-
My group got it on our around 5th try. At the time we were all ~285 and we had normal swords
-
I did it the 2nd time around. Using a sword for the adds made a huge difference for me personally!
-
1 ReplyWhat's the record?
-
Use storm callers and focus the blights. I never could do it until my friend helped me. We did it first try with a minute to spare
-
I had the same problem. We only got it done with 17 seconds left and when I got that new weapon and Grimore card, I felt like it was Christmas.
-
Edited by Ketogenic_Guardian: 3/11/2016 4:46:05 PMThank you :) someday you will get yours. It helps to have two titans with bubbles near the boss and each of you have exotic swords. Kill the boss then kill the brightens fast then the adds. This strategy helped a lot

I think people sometimes undermine what you have to go through to get that gun. I didnt get that gun til about 300+ light and my partners were the same. What a struggle!!! I have props for people who brandish that weapon!
-
It's really not hard when you know what you're doing.
-
3 RepliesYou know you know
-
5 RepliesBack when it first came out me and one other warlock did with 3 minutes left...obsidian mind and he used storm caller..we both had fourth horsemans to melt him.
-
Got it at like 280 light, maybe if people PvE more than pvp they could have it to, by the way got it first try to oh well
-
The first time I attempted it my group finished with 2 min left to spare. I was on adds only duty light razing everything in site and the other 2 were sleeper simulating him into oblivion.
-
I feel you man. When I got mine between the time I got it and going to the tower reset happened. My friend said " hey man you wanna do the daily for marks." My response was a enraged " -blam!- off.." I had no idea I spent 7 hr. Doing that shit.
-
I ran it for the first time this last week with someone who has tried it and another newbie. We got it on the first try with 10 seconds left. It wasn't that hard. Take out the blights first, attack the boss until he spawns more. Rinse and repeat. I love my Spindle.
-
I beat it first day, first try and light level 298. You just need teammates with thumbs
-
18 RepliesToo much work for a reskinned black hammer.

Me and my buddy ran a few friends through it quite easily. Double Titan + Person needing it Weapons Blessing We both run Raze Lighter. With the bonus damage perk instead of ammo in second tree. 68 - Damage perk 71 - Ammo perk Prefer if 3rd uses it aswell. Heres our strategy Mission Start - Pop a heavy so you have both full ammo and a ready Synth by the time you need it. Room 1 2 Take out blights and baby adds. Raze user takes out centurion and knight on left side of room. Average first room finish - 9:15 Fastest finish - 9:25 Second room. Each person snipes the blight right by door. 3-5 shots kill it. We Raze Light the Wizards in room 2 3 wizards. 1 per person 2 people remove adds while 3rd raze lights/stagger snipes snipers Alternatively 1 person runs around and raze lights wizards while 1 removes snipers then helps 3rd with adds/blights Average Time Left - 7:20 Fastest finish - 7:45 For boss room. Pop Heavy before entering should only take off 10-15 seconds with load up time. Double bubble at boss platform Everybody raze lights. If 3rd is a - Hunter use Black hole tether on boss. Warlock use storm call on boss/adds Titan extra blessings of light or melting point punch followed by hammer time. Kills boss with average time of 5:10 Fastest finish was 5:30 For adds. Target blights first. Sniper these things asap. Use your sword/heavy for centurion knights and captains Then just clear everything else as normal. Average time left - :40 Fastest time left 1:02 If your on Xbox One me and my buddy aslong as were not busy can help out. Mr Yoshi is my GT.
-
You just have to have three people that compliment each other's playing styles. And some badass add control haha
-
2 RepliesBest way to do it is to have on infective and some solid machine guns. As soon as you get in the taniks room go straight for killing blights and enemies. After that shoot the -blam!- out of the boss. Have one guy keeping an eye out for blights respawning and when they start repeat that first step. Back to shooting the boss. If you can keep the room clear and focus on the boss it is so much easier at the end. Whereas if you ignore the enemies and let them build up your -blam!-ed. When I did it we tried the bubble strayed and all the others this one worked second try. Invective helps a ton destroying blights and keeps regenerating ammo.
-
Two man it, so much easier. We used a storm caller for adds and a void now for boss DPS. Finished with about 4 minutes to spare.
-
I'm so glad I got it: after about 10+ tries. It's the only sniper I use in PvP now. To hell with using it in the raid!
