The only games I see get this bad are the ones that are dying and have a small amount of players to choose from for matchmaking.
Because at the very least, the game should not be constantly getting worse

And here we have the biggest flaw of p2p gaming. The smaller your player base, the less good connections are available. Changing the crucible settings to favor connection won't do anything for you if all the options are potato internets.

Yeah, it's getting hard to argue otherwise. I hate it, because I do love this game.
