While the covenant may have gigantic warships, the reapers exploit weakness and also turn your own fallen troops against you while also super sizing the fallen troops natural inherent abilities, such as asari. They were all biotics, and when turned into a reaper force, their biotics become near godlike. The reapers could also use a form of insidious indoctrination that would cause infighting and possible civil war, and even make species such as Jackals or brutes offers of leniency if they aided the reapers only to be turned against at the wars end. I'm sure it'd be a great fight, but I don't think they could stop the reapers just by outgunning them. Without the catalyst, no one stands a chance against the reapers.

All of these people could crush the reapers with less effort than it takes you to crush a ant. -------

Indoctrination works differently for different circumstances. It could be a the planet your on, to even while fighting the enemy they could become indoctrinated. Plus, the Jackals and brutes are a lot like the vorcha, maybe the brutes not so much. And it also takes little to no time to transform Into reaper troops. And they still all have their weakness which would be exploited. Plus, Pokemon would get -blam!-ing rekt by reapers man. No contest.
