If Blizzard was in on it, they would sell consumables to reach max level immediately and we would hear no end to the complaints. If Treyarch was in on it, shaders would be microtransactions but people would pretend like it was no big deal. If Valve was in on it, Destiny 3 would never see the light of day. If DICE was in on it, the base game would have had four maps and no story content. On the plus side? You can buy all that as DLC. I really have nothing on Rockstar here. They have made some pretty decent games. Damn...

It still would never happen and people would still just be playing Destiny 2 in 2029 wondering where the hell Destiny 3 or any new content is at.
