Hi Bryce Lotz,
As part of our temporary fix for that Quest line, we made it so that players could access and complete the Mountaintop Quest without having to complete the preceding Quest. You may have already completed the Mountaintop. You can check to see if you have the weekly Crucible bounties available on Shaxx, this would indicate that you have completed the Quest line.

As a husband, father and full time worker I don't have a lot of time to play Destiny. However I've been trying to complete the most of the Year 2 Moments of Triumph I can. One of the more complicated parts is the Mountaintop Quest, first because I'm not a good crucible player and second because it's very time consuming. So I decided to do it by small parts and today, after almost a month (or maybe more) I finally ended the "Weapons Master" part. This is supposed to be the last step before the final part.I turned it into Banshee and waited to get the final one but nothing happened. I checked here (in the Help section) all the steps of the quest and I confirmed that I had done all previous parts of the quest. Without any solution I went to the abandoned quests kiosk and to my surprise I had there the Dead Orbit Faction step to do. I am absolutely sure I've done this because it was the second time I played Rift. Thinking that this one step had bugged on me for some reason, I decided to do it again, after all those are my two favorite PvP modes (Control and Rift), no problem I'll do it in a few minutes. To my surprise after I've done it I was presented with the Future War Cult step to do... AGAIN! People are trying to complete their MoT and have to do things twice? Will I have to do the Weapons Master steps all over again after doing the Factions steps for the second time? If you check my stats on my Hunter You'll be able to see that I've done the Factions part before and that I haven't forgot any step od the quest. It's just absurd having to do it all over again and there's too many threads with players with this kind of issues to just be acceptable. If I have to do it again it's goodbye crucible and goodbye MoT.

I checked Shaxx and I do not have them unlocked. I finished the weapon mastery part and turned it in. Neither before nor after have I every had the mountaintop quest and Shaxx definitely does not have them. Thanks for replying and trying to help resolve the matter. If there is anything else I can do let me know, Thanks.

I have waited and waited, and tried all I can. Will you please explain why I cannot access these weekly bounties and get the hothead.

Hello again Bryce Lotz, All of your Characters still have active Crucible Quests that need to be completed to unlock these weekly bounties.

Yes but it's only; two quests from the day of the lost, an SRL quest, and a crimson doubles quest.

You may want to try completing other Crucible Quests that are on your character.

Today I completed the weapon master quest, got kills with all weapons as required (auto, pulse, scout, and hand cannon) talked to banshee, and then nothing happened. I logged out, came back and nothing. So I closed the game, started it back up, and then the weapon master quest was back in my quests page telling me I need to do more pulse rifle kills. Can you tell me what is going on and why this is bugging out on me? is there anything I can do? is there anything you can do? help!

I finished the crucible quest I had on my titan and it gave me the mountaintop quest. Thanks for all the help, and I will let you know if anything else comes up. :)

Do I need to finish all crucible bounties on my one character, or all of them?
