Psychopathic? Really. The "Thousand Yard Stare" is a look in the person's eyes as they relive traumatic memories and you get the distinct feeling they don't see what's in front of them. They are looking at visions of the past that will haunt them forever. Their eyes glaze over, they don't respond, they look at things but are actually looking far beyond them. The Thousand Yard Stare is most commonly seen in the eyes of veterans who have seen war that has cost them a piece of their soul and all of their innocence. It is also seen in any person who has suffered a traumatic experience, such as seeing the death of a beloved person or death at all and are unable to handle it.
Don't call it psychopathic because it isn't.

You practically just re-said what I said, lol. If you actually look up the textbook meaning of psycopathy, it fits well.

Except you know, psychopathy is an inborn personality disorder that is caused by a chemical imbalance and is presented as an individual without sympathy or empathy. Not to be confused with a sociopath who feels no emotion and has no remorse. Psychopaths have a twisted sense of right and wrong, but a sense none the less. People with PTSD (Thousand Yard Stare) exhibit bouts of rage, depression, anxiety, and most importantly a broken sense of reality. So it's really not the same thing...
