To me, it comes down to an ethics question: If a train was going to run over a baby, but you could change the train's path the kill a woman that has lived for many years, would you change the train's path? I think that the life of a younger human is always more valuable than the life of an older one. Maybe you think that the convenience of the women is worth the life of an unborn baby. The question was an extreme one as most women having abortions aren't going to die otherwise. Maybe in cases of -blam!- and incest where the kid could be messed up I might be convinced otherwise, but it should never be a proud act to kill an unborn child. If the parents made the mistake of not getting proper protection, they should deal with the consequences. Right now, women are videotaping their abortions and acting as if they should be proud and show the world that they're doing it. It should never be like that. Abortions shouldn't be something as casual as "Honey, I'm going to the doctor for another abortion, I'll be home in a couple hours." I want to ask for some responses as to why you might or might not be against my opinion. To me, I think the life of any child, unborn or not, is worth more than the life or convenience of any mom.

  • I don't think anyone feels proud about abortion.

  • Go look up some videos of live abortions on YouTube. There are women who are literally happy about their abortion and are like, "Yeah, I'm having another abortion. How's it going down there? (to the doctor)" People are -blam!-ed up.

  • It definitely isn't something to be proud of and if you do accidentally get a baby yea that's tough luck but you have the two things you said and -blam!- as reasons for aboritions

  • In that argument physically changing the trains path makes you a murderer. Only psychopaths can make that kind of dessision in the time given.

  • You also don't quite have the logic to back it up yet.

  • It's not a casual thing at all. In fact the choice to get an abortion is an emotional trauma in itself

  • Some people take it casually. Look up some YouTube videos of live abortions.

  • The ethics are completely irrelevant. It's a matter of an individual's right to their own body.

  • If that's what it is to you, then roll with it. My post was my opinion, your's was your opinion. To me the life of any child, unborn or not, is worth more than a life of a 20+ year old woman. Especially if the child's life is taken just for convenience of the woman. But that's just an opinion.

Pretty sure your "opinion" is misogynistic. And wrong.

  • You're really telling me that what happens to just be a pile of cells with no viability in the world is more important than that of a grown woman with a whole life and many experiences and memories and friends and acquaintances? I gotta say, I'm a little perturbed by this. The fetus doesn't have anything. Nothing. No memories. No thoughts. No life experiences. And you'll gladly have the train run over her instead of a fetus? I'm actually sickened by this.

  • Yes. That fetus will turn into a child and have life experiences, knowledge, wisdom, etc. I would much rather have a baby grow up and live for 65 years than a mother basically murder the unborn child just for convenience only to live for another 30 years.

  •
Yes. That fetus will turn into a child and have life experiences, knowledge, wisdom, etc.
Hypotheticals make for bad arguments.
