You only get a spark of light from being a destiny player before TTK, and then playing the game with the expansion on. Now you have to buy it.

I bought the hunter spark of light I would like to get another one does it not work that way

I believe you must buy another one. Contact bungie support or somebody similar to help you out with your question.

This is a really old post but I just wanna mention that I did not start playing destiny until March of this year and I have gotten multiple sparks of light. Still don't know how to get them though
