Anyone else sick and tired of this?
Next Gen consoles have been out for 3 years now and there are literally like 5 games that are decent. We are playing on next gen so why the hell is the marketplace full of stupid games like Plants vs Zombies or my personal favorite, Goat simulator. All i see is platform games, its like were moving back in time.
GIVE US NEXT GEN WORTHY GAMES!!!!
Edit: aaaaand were trending:) thanks for all the input guys/gals. Hopefully we start seeing alot more new stuff soon!

The video game industry is about to crash with company's being stingy with content upon release and overpriced dlc everywhere. Most current gen games are just sequels to existing IPs. Plus I'm sure a lot will disagree but has anyone's else noticed all this occult propaganda being pushed in a lot of these games. I've seen satanic stars in the order 1886, the witcher obviously, and I black ops zombies there is the pyramid ritual in a nether world. I'm just asking why.

It takes less time and resources to develop and produce those indie games. Big AAA titles take years to make so it makes sense that there are les of them available. It does seem that there is an extreme lack of available games though but consider what you are comparing it to. Are you comparing to the number of games available for last gen now after ten years of availability or to last gen when it was 3 years old?

Because this gen has brought mainstream indie adoption. Which yeah, is a backwards step in my opinion. In terms of pushing the boundaries.

I heard Ps5 and a new xbox might come out soon. Hopefully this doesn't happen as I just got my awesome Ps4.

I believe games for next gen will greatly increase when the last gen consoles are rendered unusable

It would be nice to see more new IPs at least, rather than all sequels and reboots (same goes for movies). The market is so risk-averse it's going to end up like Nintendo, endlessly shoehorning mascots into increasingly irrelevant games. Witcher 3 has been the best 'next gen' game so far imo and even that's a sequel. Destiny's sorta cross-gen but at least it's original!

3 RepliesThat's why I pick games that I know I'll dedicate a lot of time to. Bloodborne and Destiny held me over for a while. I also had a few games here and there. Fallout 4 for when I want to just do whatever. Transistor for when I want something simple. Limbo for when I'm feeling a bit hazy. Dark Souls 3, Mass Effect Andromeda and No Man's Sky will be coming out this year too. I'll be alright.
