You rent the game, it is their property to do with as they please. Don't like it, stop renting and delete everything. Their content is subject to change at their own discretion.
Edit: if your access can be taken away due to how you use a product you are renting it. Ownership means you can alter it in anyway you want with no consequences.
Rent is not exclusive to physical property or to property that takes multiple payments. Rent is defined in Webster's as payment for use of something. Then the examples it gives include houses, but also includes the rights to intellectual property.

O.K. ONE MORE TIME I never said they couldn't do what they want with destiny... INFACT I LOVE THIS GAME AND WANT MORE OF IT!!!! What I'm trying to say is that it would be really awesome if we got the game they were talking about back then. I am sad because we didn't get it but I am also happy and excited to see what awaits destiny.

So if I don't regularly pay bungo their gonna evict me from destiny?
-
It's funny how people just assume rent refers to constant payments or physical property. Guess this is what education has become, just ignorance and stupidity.

renting (go ahead look at the proper definition) whoosh! that joke sure went over your enlarged head though didn't it?

Edited by Stupid Shinji: 2/22/2016 6:57:04 PMUh, I said rent kiddo, not renting. Reading comprehension isn't your strong point is it? Rent is defined as paying someone for the use of something. That something is defined by the rentee and renter, it is not defined at physical property as you ignorantly assume. I guess those facts and logic go through your head.

There is literally no difference. There is renting and there is leasing. You just keep arguing for the sake of arguing. It's fine to continually insult me if that makes you feel better big boy. But just accept the fact that your wrong so you will stop replying to me like the child you are.
-
Right? You buy the game and then you buy the additional content when they come out, no matter what you still have access to play even without that content otherwise that's a lawsuit. Rent pfffft.. Let me go rent a house and only be able to gain access to the other rooms every month at a time
-
Haha you're example is pointless. Rent means that you do not own, it means that if you break the contract you sign when you make the payment to the renter your use of said rented property is revoked with no refund. That is the definition of rent moron. Your little dlc talk is amenities, like hot tub and pool, yes you will pay more to rent a house with a pool. Kids are so -blam!-ing dumb these days.

Edited by l Rogue Sama I: 2/22/2016 7:53:35 PMSeriously you make zero sense with all your rent nonsense, it's a video game, you buy it, dlc comes out, you buy dlc or you don't, what does it mean if you don't buy dlc, you can still play it but not the new content, you own the -blam!-ing game you moron. Breaking contract pfffft you mean getting banned for breaking their terms for hacking/cheating/harassment/etc. you can get banned from anything, does that mean I rent everything, do I rent my Xbox because I can break their terms and that they always come out with a next gen console.. Seriously check yourself mate, I think you're getting yourself way to far into something that doesn't matter and is completely -blam!-ing wrong and you're to ignorant to admit to your own stupidity. Look up anti consumerism and then look at all the stuff Bungie and activision has done to their consumers, you don't rent shit, they honestly can't do anything without their consumers basically it's do or die, the people who pay for your shit in the gaming community are the ones that have you by the balls. No consequences, what do you mean no consequences, if you do something that doesn't please your consumers then you don't make money, if you don't make money then your game dies along with your community

Rent isn't the right word. It's not anything like renting.
-
The definition of rent is to pay someone for the use of something, it does not have to be something tangible like a house or land, it can apply to intellectual property as well.
-
I'm not continuing to pay for said ip. I'm not renting it. Lease is probably more accurate. At any rate I own destiny the game. But they own destiny the ip. And they can change the ip at will. And make me locked out of it if the choose. But I still own the game I own.
-
Rent and lease have the same definition, as they are synonyms. So rent is the right word. Its you assuming the rented property has to be physical or has to be continuous payments that is wrong.
-
Yes it is, you paid a certain amount, and we're granted access, if you abuse it your access is removed. Its a rental, or a pass to a theme park. Those are the same thing.
