Ignoring the argument as a whole for a second, I believe that Oryx could take the Flood, but only if it was in an early coordinated stage, but that the Flood could infect Oryx due to his technically organic body... Or perhaps the worm inside. I say "early coordinated stage" because the more advanced Graveminds/Keyminds would likely be too advanced for Oryx to subvert, much like Rasputin, only on a far more extreme scale.

  • The forerunners can use sentinels and prometheans to deal with taken considering machines can't be taken

  • Again, I wasn't arguing for the Destiny side, I was simply saying that this is a possibility.

  • I'm doubtful as the floods nature makes me think that they would be immune but I can see where you are coming from.

  • The Graveminds are Precursor remains, and thus they have Will's. Oryx converts the Wills of lesser beings to Take them, and therefore, in paper, he could take a Gravemind. That being said, more advanced Graveminds are likely too powerful to convert.

But without a Gravemind it's possible.

  • Then why didn't he take all the Cabal Fallen and Vex? Especially the Cabal and Fallen seeing as they have no darkness.

The Vex can only warp time space in the Vault of Glass.

  • No they warped time space all the time to Teleport every, correct thought it is only potent in the vault. But the vex created the vault who says they can't do it again?

  • Teleportation isn't the same thing as reality warping though. If they could extend their abilities outside of the Vault of Glass they would have.

  • Which they probably can in another reality, regardless reality warping is a no limits fallacy

I think the Vex have taken over universes and can control reality in those universes but I'm not sure. To an extent reality warping is a no limits fallacy, but then that removes reality warping characters from versus debates entirely. So it is the one exception unless the OP says otherwise.

  • And aren't the throne world's of the hive reality warping? This is so confusing so many factors would be removed without reality warping

  • They can. They use the sword logic and control everything in it. It's more of the creation that warps reality, actually maybe not. I know that they control the reality in the realm

Guardians have a plot shield, same as Chief's. realistically, Oryx should have whooped our butts. besides, to even challenge him you had to bathe in the essence of Crota so as to become ascendant, something the Halo universe wouldn't know.
