Sadly this is true.

I know the feeling though I ran the raid 4 times a week to get my hunter to 320. Ran 3 times, deleted and binge-levelled my warlock the next 2 days, played my last raid sunday night before reset. Repeat until vomit is induced. But seriously, it took 6 weeks of this for a 320 class item to drop. And I played SRL for days on end without a 320 drop.
