For those who don't read all of the article and still want to buy the season.
Given the expanded DLC plan, the price of the season pass will increase from the current $29.99 to $49.99 USD (£24.99 to £39.99 GBP; $49.95 to $79.95 AUD) on March 1, 2016. However, if you already purchased the season pass for $29.99, nothing changes - you still geteverything at no additional cost— the full $60 offering of add-on content for the original price of $29.99. In addition, if you didn’t buy the season pass yet, there is still time: anyone who buys the Season Pass for $29.99 before March 1st will get all $60 worth of content. This is our way of saying thanks to all our loyal fans who have believed in us and supported us over the years.
$50 for the season pass. $50. Watch Bethesda get almost no flak for this.

  • You have until March 1st for the $30 price. If you chose not to, that's your own damn fault

  • Its because they are releasing 100$ wirth of content. 50% off is still a great deal for a season pass.

  • It's shitty, they are basically telling people who wanted to wait for reviews tough shit. What's being announced so far sounds more like mods than actual dlc, hell that robot building thing is already a mod on PC.

They are releasing what they consider to be $100 worth of content, but all they've announced is a quest that lets you build robots, the Fallout equivalent of Hearthfire, and an expansion on a new island. I know that there will be more, but from what I've heard already, that doesn't seem like much. I'd rather just wait till all the DLC is out and buy the ones I actually want, or wait longer and see them get a price drop rather than spend $50 for a season pass that still hasn't been fully explained.

Yes, you just stated it. And I called it an opinion. Because it's an opinion.

Listen man, they have announced 3 DLCs so far, 2 of which are minor. They have actually said that they don't even know what they're going to do after those are done. They actually have no idea what new DLC is going to come out after that, yet they still claim that in the end, it'll be worth $100. How am I supposed to trust them when they say that it'll be worth so much when they don't even have a clue about what they're gonna make after that?

  • That's quite a price hike. I didn't really think about the season pass since I haven't gotten really into the main game yet, but I guess I should start considering whether to buy it now or not at all.

Umm...that applies to physical products. The whole concept of supply and demand is that a business needs to keep the amount of something being produced around the level that it is being sold in order to make a healthy profit. This, however, doesn't apply, as the season pass is a virtual product that will always meet the demand, and there is no need to mass-produce software that can be found and bought so easily.

  • That digital content costs money to develop. The gamers demanded more content, therefore they are supplying more than they originally intended. However, just being made aware of the price change, and given TWO WEEKS to still receive the original pricing, you have nothing to complain about

Listen buddy, if they were gonna end up selling it for $50, they shouldn't have sold it for $30 in the first place, because now it seems less like price adjustment and more like customer exploitation, because let's face it, most Bethesda fans will buy whatever gets thrown at them. And the term "supply and demand" still doesn't apply here.

  • Again, announcing and giving time before a price increase invalidates your point

How? Sure we get a warning 2 weeks ahead, but they're still bumping the price up. Your support, AKA the warning given by Bethesda, does not invalidate my argument. Sure, it's a pretty solid point, but don't get cocky and think you're automatically right. Besides, now people like me who would normally wait for the DLC to come out, read multiple reviews, and make an informed buying decision either have to put their blind faith in Bethesda or pay an extra $20. Just because they warned us, does not mean we have no right to complain. This could end up being a lose-lose situation for the people buying it now as well as the people waiting till the DLC comes out, and you think that because we were given a warning that we can't complain!?

Its because they are planning to release atleast 100$ of dlc. I'd be way to cheap to only have 30$ season pass.
