You're wrong, dumb -blam!-. I've been 311+ since hard mode and over 200 engrams have been nothing but 310's. You absolutely positively CAN NOT get 290's from being 311+.

False I was getting 290s as a 312 and 313. Never saw another after hitting 314. That's also been months ago so it may have changed now.

I have a feeling that people don't check their gear prior to turning in engrams. They're probably working on a new set so they're in lower light. I catch myself almost doing that all the time.

I had a 290 exotic drop from an engram I got in PVP and all of my characters are over 311. It happens sometimes.

Not always. Just a higher chance at 310. I was frustrated when all of them were 290 light. But I got 9 exotic shards lol

@310 you still get screwed. At 311 and up they are all 310.

I think that only happens if 1 or more of your characters aren't 310 or higher. I've opened dozens of engrams after hitting 310 on all 3 characters and have never got a 290
