Edited by Sarge-412: 2/15/2016 7:38:07 PMI'm basing this on the armor of the Spartans alone. They're still wearing GEN1 Mark IV armor. If they were found or managed to get back to the UNSC post war, they would either be retired or would have at least upgraded to GEN1 Mark VI armor or GEN2 armor.

It could still take place after the war but they have not made their way back to the unsc so they still have the armour.

Maybe but I doubt it. The Brutes wouldn't have the man or firepower to attack Spirit of Fire since they're in another war with the Elites currently (I think, it's been a while since I last checked).

Not much is known about the brutes after halo 3, but the spirit of fire crew abandoned the ship in halo escalation amd it was seen in brute controlled space.
