That would be a possible explanation between two separate precision impacts. Here though, if you look at the time range that I specify, there is one single impact where just one floating yellow number changes between frames.
Oh that, it's because of earlier damage. I once finished off someone with a body shot from cocytus and the next precision shot did ~54 then showed the real number of 71 or so. Kinda like when you do an emote and fir a split second, it shows something else, then turns into "Xyolixis dances"
Fair effort at explaining it and maybe you're right, but I don't quite buy it. There's no reason for the earlier damage number to carry over, especially given the time between shots, and that kind of error would break the game in all sorts of ways, lol.
