You're somewhat correct, MIDA has become overused because of the excessive nerfs to the other primary weapon types. An example would be No time to explain, it most likely has the most range for it's archetype in the game for a pulse rifle, I was on Black shield, next to the heavy ammo crate of the outside area, and I was shooting someone on the ledge with the special ammo, in A point's direction, and my critical damage was cut in half. IN HALF, that much falloff for damage is ludicrously terrible, the effects of the damage decrease were enough to put pulse rifles in their place. The ranged nerf was unnecessary, because now there are very few weapons that can compete at even mid-distance, the range that pulse rifles were intended to function at, with the MIDA because of how sever the nerfs were, the only gun I can reliably compete against a MIDA with is my SUROS PDX-45 with hidden hand and several range boosting perks, or that of another scout rifle. It's not that the gun is OP, it's that everything else has been nerfed so badly that it has become an over dominant option in anything pvp.

You should copy paste and spam your post in the forums in hopes that Bungie will understand their stupidity. When they nerf scouts then things will have come full circle.

Edited by NeekoMcCool: 2/5/2016 10:02:24 AMOne thing they should get from call of duty is the drop offs and way guns differ. Pulse rifles shouldn't have range just cut in half randomly. They should just have less controllable recoil to make it harder to hit at that range. It was never the range that was the issue its the recoil. The no time to explain didn't have op stability. Still good stability but not op like full stability ones out there. So the range shoulda been left alone after the damage nerf. They always go overboard with nerfs

NTTE is a beast and better than Mida any day

Yup. The damage decrease was painful enough, but the range drop really punished that pulse rifle archetype (which was my favorite one -- right balance of damage/RoF/range for my preferred engagement type).
