Welp. Proof that the system is broken. 10/10 must revolt.

  • The electoral college is a good thing

  • Why is that? Because it warps the electoral process?

  • It was designed because if we went by the popular vote a state with a bigger population would have more power than a state with a smaller population. This way it's balanced for the most part

  • Balanced such that it completely invalidate the results of the popular vote? There's potential for abuse there.

  • There's laws against abuse but yes there has been some cases. Look it's not perfect but it's better than the popular vote. A certain population equals 1 vote. So bigger states have 1 or 2 votes over smaller states, not 1000s more. Who ever is a regions representitive goes by the popular vote of his or her region of voters so your vote still counts

  • Yea, but it's got less weight. If I live in a blue state, but I vote red... Might as well not have bothered.

Almost every state has sections of blue and red areas. Your vote counts more than you think. For instance I live in California. Biggest blue state of them all but, I live in Simi valley. This is a red town. Unfortunately were stuck with LA County witch is liberal and has more people but if we all voted we have a chance
