Idk it scares me slightly that Disney owns it. I'm hoping they don't make the star wars movies bland and formulaic like marvel movies. I liked episode 7, I did; and I understand why they played it safe too by making it like episode 4 but I hope they don't make episode 8 like empire. Luke needs to fight or show his true power in the force I don't want him to be like yoda, a Jedi hermit offering sage advice and teachings.
I hope Disney doesn't mess with us(star wars fans) and make star wars progressively bad cause they wanna make it for all people.

There is early concept art showing rey and Luke fighting kylo ren and another figure with a red lightsaber. I want her quarter staff to be cut down and turned into a saber staff like darth maul.

Agreed. I understand why they played it safe but if we get a repeat of Empire, then I'll be seriously concerned.
