Rangefinder is only a 5% range increase.

Yeah that's the stat go compare how far a conspiracy theory can 1 shot with and without range finder. I did there is a good amount of difference. There is a reason 99% of shotgunners use the quest one.

I could be wrong but I've heard rangefinder doesn't do anything if the range on the shotgun is maxed.

I've tried conspiracy theory with and without range finder. There is a noticeable difference it will one shot kill three or four steps further with range finder.
